Entry to Pisa Cathedral costs nothing, but you still need a slip of paper: any other Piazza dei Miracoli ticket includes a free untimed Duomo ticket, and cathedral-only visitors collect a timed one at the desks on site.

## Free, with two different ways in

The cathedral is free, and the route to the door depends on what else you have bought. Any ticket for another monument on the square comes with a free Duomo ticket that carries no time slot at all.

Visitors who only want the cathedral take the second route: a free timed ticket, issued exclusively at the ticket desks on the square. It isn't sold online, which is the part that catches people who arrive with a phone full of vouchers and no paper.

Free entry with no ticket at all covers visitors with a disability and their companion, and accompanied children under 11. School groups pay €3 for a single monument and €6 for the full visit, and the audio guide at the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo is €5.

## One year of validity, and nobody tells you

Tickets for the Baptistery, the Camposanto, the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo and the Museo delle Sinopie are valid a full year from the date you pick, with no time slot on them. Entry closes 30 minutes before the monuments do.

That rule is unusual and worth planning around. A ticket bought in March still works in October, so a rained-off afternoon in Pisa isn't a wasted ticket, and a stopover between two flights can be split across two trips.

Only [the Leaning Tower](/attractions/torre-di-pisa) works differently: its ticket is timed, and the slot is chosen at the moment of purchase.

## Summer 2026: open to 10:30 pm

From June 17 to August 31, 2026 the monuments on Piazza dei Miracoli stay open to 10:30 pm, and the Camposanto runs a night opening to 10:00 pm (22:30 and 22:00 on Italian signs).

Buy a Tower slot from 7:30 pm onward and a free untimed Camposanto ticket comes with it. That is the cheapest evening on the square, and the grass empties out after the coach groups leave.

Two free evening openings are on the 2026 calendar, July 24 and August 9, from 8:30 pm to 11:00 pm across the Baptistery, the Camposanto, the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo and the Museo delle Sinopie. Booking is compulsory on scopripisa.it. The Camposanto is also free on November 1 and 2.

## The full price list is published as a picture

No readable price list exists for the individual monuments and the combinations: the Opera publishes it only as an image file, so the figures cannot be extracted or quoted with confidence, and this page carries none of them.

That is worth knowing before you compare offers. Resellers retype those numbers by hand and get them wrong, and there is no plain-text official version to check them against.

## Getting to the square without a car

From Pisa Centrale, bus Line 1+ leaves the Stazione 1 stop toward Park Pietrasantina every 10 minutes and drops you at Torre 1. Line 4 runs every 20 minutes from Stazione 8 to Del Parlascio, and night Line 21 every 30 minutes.

From the coach station at Sesta Porta, lines 60, 70, 80, 120 and 130 all stop at Torre 1. Arriving at Galileo Galilei airport, take the PisaMover to Pisa Centrale and pick up one of these buses there.

The walk is also fine, and most people do it: straight up from the station, across the Arno, twenty-odd minutes through a working university town rather than a monument district. The rest of the city is at [Pisa](/towns/pisa).
