That volume is the first thing to understand about the name. It's a product built for export shelves, and the price of an everyday bottle reflects tens of millions of liters, not a single cellar.

## €380 million in exports, about €1 billion at the till

Exports passed €380 million at production value in 2025, up 2.6% on 2024. The consortium estimates consumer value, what shoppers pay across every market, at around €1 billion.

Set that beside Parmigiano Reggiano, the region's largest name at €3.96 billion in consumer turnover in 2025, and the vinegar comes to roughly a quarter of it.
