Seven days on three bases, and one booking that has to be made before anything else: Last Supper tickets are released quarterly, with around 215 extra tickets a day going on sale each Wednesday at noon.

## The Cenacolo release calendar, which sets your dates

Tickets for the Last Supper come out on a quarterly cycle: in September for November to January, in December for February to April, in March for May to July, in June for August to October.

On top of that, around 215 extra tickets per day go on sale online only, every Wednesday at noon, for the week that follows. For anyone booking close to departure that weekly window is the only realistic route in.

The reason supply is structurally short is the visit itself: 15 minutes per group, up to 40 people, and you forfeit the slot if you are not there 30 minutes early. The ticket is €15 full and €2 for EU citizens aged 18 to 25, with booking compulsory for every category including free entries. Prices below are in euros.

## Days 1 and 2: Milan, and why a car makes it worse

The Cenacolo museum opens Tuesday to Sunday 8:15 am to 7:00 pm with last entry at 6:45 pm, closed Mondays, January 1 and December 25.

Do not drive into the center. Area C is Milan's charged limited traffic zone inside the Cerchia dei Bastioni: €7.50 a day for most vehicles, Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, holidays excluded, on rates in force since October 30, 2023. Paying late, up to midnight on the seventh day after entry, costs €22.50.

Two nights is enough here if the Cenacolo slot lands on one of them.

## Days 3 and 4: Como, 145 square kilometers and one operator

Lake Como covers 145 km2, drops to 410 m at its deepest, sits at 198 m above sea level and has a shoreline of 170 km, which is why the boat is transport rather than an excursion.

Public navigation on Como, Maggiore and Garda is run by the same body, Gestione Navigazione Laghi, publishing separate timetables and fares for each lake. The 2026 Como passenger and car ferry tariffs took effect on April 1, 2026.

We do not quote individual crossings here, because the operator publishes them only in files that could not be read; the one worked example on its own page is Como to Urio at €10.40 adult and €5.80 for children. Check the fare board at the pier.

## Day 5: moving east, and what the map hides

Milano Centrale to Venezia Santa Lucia takes 2 hours 27 minutes on the fastest direct train and 2 hours 32 on the slowest, on the September 2026 timetable. The line is not high speed for its whole length, because the Brescia to Verona to Padua section is still being upgraded.

That matters if you were planning to swap the mountains for a lagoon day: the journey is longer than the Rome to Florence hop and the sample of direct services we collected, 13 trains, may be incomplete.

For this route, turn north instead and gain three nights in the mountains.

## Days 5 to 7: the Alpe di Siusi, closed to cars for eight hours

The road onto the Alpe di Siusi is shut to private cars every day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Inside those hours the plateau is reached only by cable car or bus, with exceptions for guests of accommodation on the Alpe and holders of the European Disability Card.

From June 29, 2026 the car parks also need an online booking: P1 Spitzbuhl at €15 a day and €10 for motorcycles, P2 Compatsch at €30, €15 for motorcycles and €160 for coaches. Parking overnight is prohibited between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am. The restriction lifts only in the shoulder weeks when the cable car itself is closed.

One day trip north from here fixes the other famous gate: from July 1 to September 15, 2026, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Lago di Braies takes cars only with a booked parking place at €44, or €49 above 2.2 m of vehicle height. Outside those hours and dates, and on foot or by bike at any time, access is unrestricted and the lake itself is free.

## What is not verified on this route

Two things on this page rest on a single source each: the Alpe di Siusi scheme comes from the consortium that runs the booking system, with no readable municipal ordinance behind it, and the Cenacolo release calendar comes from one official page.

Lake fares are the third gap. Nothing published in euros for individual crossings on Como, Maggiore or Garda could be confirmed, so treat third party price lists with suspicion and buy at the counter.

## FAQ

### When do Last Supper tickets go on sale?

Quarterly, plus a weekly top up. Releases happen in September for November to January, December for February to April, March for May to July and June for August to October, and around 215 extra tickets per day go online each Wednesday at noon for the following week.

### How long do you actually get in front of the Last Supper?

15 minutes, in groups of up to 40 people, and you have to be there 30 minutes before your slot or you lose it. The ticket is €15 full, €2 for EU citizens aged 18 to 25, and booking is compulsory even for free entries.

### How long is the train from Milan to Venice?

2 hours 27 minutes on the fastest direct service in September 2026, with a slowest direct run of 2 hours 32. The line is not high speed for its whole length: the Brescia to Verona to Padua section is still being upgraded.

### Do the lake boats run all year?

The same public operator, Gestione Navigazione Laghi, runs Como, Maggiore and Garda and publishes separate timetables and fares for each. The 2026 Como passenger and car ferry tariffs took effect on April 1, 2026. Individual prices are only in files we could not open.

### Can I drive up to the Alpe di Siusi from a lakes trip?

Not between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on any day, when the road is closed to private cars. From June 29, 2026 the P1 Spitzbuhl car park at €15 a day and P2 Compatsch at €30 also require an online booking, and overnight parking is banned 11:00 pm to 5:00 am.
