Privacy: what this site collects

This site has no account, no newsletter, no booking form and no advertising profile, so the only personal data RankWit processes from a visit is what a web server necessarily receives, plus whatever you put in an email you choose to send.

Controller and contact

One company answers for everything published here: RankWit S.r.l. Società Benefit, Piazza delle Scuole 6, 95021 Aci Castello (CT), Italy, VAT number IT06209300877. Data protection requests go to info@rankwit.ai, the address published for the data protection officer role.

Processing follows Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the GDPR, and the Italian personal data protection code that implements it.

What a visit leaves behind

Three things reach the server when you open a page: an IP address, a browser user agent and a request time, processed to deliver the page and keep the service secure. That is the legal basis of legitimate interest in operating a website, and it produces no profile.

Site-wide measurement runs on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors. The full list of what does and does not load, including the tools that are prepared but switched off, is on the cookies page.

What we never do

There is no advertising network on this site, no social plugin, no third-party font, no embedded map from a commercial provider and no session recording running today. Nothing you read here is used to build an audience segment, and nothing is sold.

Emails you send are kept as long as it takes to answer them and to keep a record of the correction if your message was a correction.

Your rights, and where to complain

Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR give you access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection, and you exercise them by writing to info@rankwit.ai. We answer within the month the regulation allows.

Complaints go to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian supervisory authority, and you do not need to raise the matter with us first.

What this site does not know, and who does

There is no record of your trip on this site. The border keeps one: since April 10, 2026 the EU Entry/Exit System has recorded document data, a face image, fingerprints and the date and place of every entry and exit for non-EU short stays across the 29 Schengen countries, replacing the passport stamp.

That system is run by EU agencies and member states, and it has no connection to this site. We mention it because travelers ask us what happens to their data in Italy, and the honest answer separates what a website sees from what a frontier does.

FAQ

Does myitalia collect my personal data?

Not through the site. There is no account, no newsletter, no booking form and no comment box, so the only data reaching us from a visit is the technical information any web server receives. Writing to info@rankwit.ai is the one route that identifies you, and only because you chose it.

Who is the data controller for this site?

RankWit S.r.l. Società Benefit, Piazza delle Scuole 6, 95021 Aci Castello (CT), Italy, VAT IT06209300877. The same address takes data protection requests, at info@rankwit.ai, which is also the contact point published for the DPO role.

How do I ask what you hold about me?

Write to info@rankwit.ai. Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR give you access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and a complaint to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali is open to you at any point without asking us first.
