What to see, and what it really costs to get in

Every attraction page here states the opening hours and the entry price taken from the operator's own publication, and states plainly when the operator publishes neither.

The absence is part of the answer

Not one of these pages carries an invented price. Where a regional ticket office publishes no tariff, the page says that no tariff is published, because a traveller who reads "nobody publishes it" plans differently from one who reads nothing at all. That is the single most common thing missing from Italian attraction listings, and it is the reason several pages here are shorter than they would be if guessing were allowed.

What sits inside a World Heritage property

Italy counts 62 inscribed properties, of which 54 lie within a single region and 8 cross regional borders, so a serial site spread over several places is one entry on the list rather than several. Pages describing a component of a serial property name the property it belongs to, so the count is never inflated by counting the parts.
