WCAG 2.1 level AA is the accessibility target for this site, checked on color contrast and keyboard operation before each release, and no legal accessibility statement is published because RankWit is a private company and is not required to file one.
The target, and how it is checked
Level AA of WCAG 2.1 is what this site is built to. Contrast ratios are computed from the design tokens by a script that fails the build when a combination drops below the threshold, which is why one color in the palette is used as a marker and never for text, links or buttons.
Text scales without breaking the layout, every interactive element is reachable from the keyboard, and nothing important is carried by color alone. Motion is kept to what a reduced-motion setting can switch off.
What is not claimed
There is no formal accessibility declaration on this site, because the Italian obligation to publish one applies to public administrations and to companies that meet the thresholds in the accessibility law, and RankWit is neither. Saying otherwise would be simpler and false.
Nor do we claim conformance has been audited by a third party. What exists is an automated contrast gate, keyboard testing and a commitment to fix what is reported, which is less than a certification and more than a promise.
Reporting a barrier
There is no separate accessibility form, because a form is one more thing that can itself be inaccessible. Write to info@rankwit.ai with the page address and what failed, and it goes into the same queue as a wrong number.
Accessible services in Italy worth knowing
Two non-voice ways to reach the emergency services exist in Italy: the 1121 Sordi service for deaf callers, and the free Where ARE U app, which transmits identity and GPS position to the answering center and flags that the caller cannot speak. Registration happens in advance, not during the emergency.
For a museum built on touch, the Museo Tattile Statale Omero in Ancona sits inside the Mole Vanvitelliana and is free in 2026, with the design collection at €5 and free on the first Sunday of the month. It opens 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesday to Saturday and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sundays and holidays.
