Ravenna's combined Ravenna Mosaici ticket costs €14.501 and covers four of the eight UNESCO monuments: San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, Sant'Apollinare Nuovo and the Neonian Baptistery (2026).
€14.50 for four monuments
The Ravenna Mosaici ticket costs €14.501 full, €11.501 reduced and €2 for children aged 6 to 10, with free entry up to age 5 and for licensed guides (2026).
It covers four places: the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo and the Neonian Baptistery. From March 8 to November 2, 2026, they open 9 am to 7 pm. You buy it at the ticket offices of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo or the Museo Arcivescovile.
Two of the four need a booked slot
The Mausoleum of Galla Placidia and the Neonian Baptistery both require a booked time slot on the combined ticket (2026).
That turns the ticket into a schedule. Book those two slots first, then fit San Vitale and Sant'Apollinare Nuovo around them, since those have no slot on the same list.
Eight monuments, 5th and 6th centuries
Ravenna's World Heritage listing has eight early Christian monuments, all built in the 5th and 6th centuries: Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Theodoric, Sant'Apollinare in Classe, the Archbishop's Chapel of Sant'Andrea, the Arian Baptistery and the Neonian Baptistery.
Half of them are on the combined ticket. Sant'Apollinare in Classe and the Mausoleum of Theodoric are run by a different body and sold separately. The Archbishop's Chapel joins a five-monument package in some seasons, so check the make-up of the ticket on the day. For the Arian Baptistery, our records hold no ticket details at all.
No inscription year is given here
No inscription year is given on this page, deliberately. The date usually quoted could not be confirmed on a primary source: UNESCO's own page refuses automated reading and the ministry's entry was not found.
It changes nothing about the visit, and it's a small example of how a year that everyone repeats can still be unverified.
2015: Ravenna, Italian Capital of Culture
Ravenna was one of the five cities named Italian Capital of Culture for 2015, with Cagliari, Lecce, Perugia and Siena.
Since then the title has gone to Mantova, Pistoia, Palermo, Parma, Procida, Bergamo with Brescia, Pesaro, Agrigento, L'Aquila in 2026, Pordenone in 2027 and Ancona in 2028. The full list is at capitals of culture.
The city is at Ravenna, and Emilia-Romagna's other two early UNESCO cities at Ferrara and Modena.
