Mille Miglia: Brescia and the 2027 centenary

The 1000 Miglia is now a historic re-enactment that starts and finishes in Brescia: the 44th edition ran from June 9 to 13, 2026 on a figure-eight route crossing at Ferrara, and 2027 is the centenary of the first race, in 1927.

2026: a figure eight through Ferrara

The 44th edition ran from June 9 to 13, 2026, on a route shaped like a figure eight with its crossing point at Ferrara, and over 400 cars were expected. Brescia is both the start and the finish.

It is a re-enactment, not a speed race. The cars are the attraction, and the roadside is where most people see them.

2027: the centenary, dates unconfirmed

The 2027 edition marks 100 years since the first Mille Miglia, run in 1927. Its dates are not confirmed on an official source we could read: the organizer's website refused our requests, and the dates in the press are unverified, so we don't repeat them.

A centenary year will draw more cars and more spectators than usual, which argues for booking Brescia early once the dates are real. Until then, no month is confirmed either.

The Ferrari museums on the same trip

The Musei Ferrari Pass covers the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena and the Museo Ferrari in Maranello: €38 for adults from September to May, €42 from June to August, and €12 for under 19s with their family (2026). Figures are in euros.

The catch is time. Both museums have to be visited within 48 hours of each other, and a trip between June and August falls in the €42 season. Both museums are covered at the Motor Valley museums, and the region at Emilia-Romagna.

Brescia, start and finish

Both ends of the 2026 route were in Brescia, in Lombardia, and the race sits with the other dated events on the events calendar. When the organizer publishes the 2027 dates, they go there too.
