The 96th International White Truffle Fair of Alba runs from October 10 to December 6, 2026, organized by the Ente Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba at Piazza Medford 3. This year's theme is Autentiche Relazioni.

The fair lasts almost two months, but the World Truffle Market opens at weekends, and its hours are not confirmed on an official page. Do not work back from 96 editions to a founding year either: the fair has had interruptions. The event is covered on the Alba truffle fair page.

So the city center likely gets more than the coastal figure. Temperatures hold up meanwhile: Rome averages 62.6°F (17.0°C) in October, with mean highs of 72.0°F (22.2°C) and lows of 54.3°F (12.4°C). The rest of the Roman year is on weather in Rome.

Where it is still warm

Trapani, on the western tip of Sicily, averages 68.2°F (20.1°C) in October, and the island of Ustica 68.5°F (20.3°C), on 1991-2020 normals. Both are warmer in October than Rome is on average in May.

They are the complete series nearest to Palermo, which has none of its own for the period, so read them as the climate of western Sicily rather than of Palermo. Trapani's October rain is 66.5 mm, the start of its wet half-year after a summer with almost none.
