Palermo Punta Raisi: 50 minutes by bus to town

From Palermo Falcone e Borsellino airport the Prestia e Comandè bus reaches Palermo Centrale station in about 50 minutes, and a railway station under the terminal runs every day, though its journey time and fare are not published.

The bus at the arrivals exit

Prestia e Comandè buses stop right outside arrivals and reach Palermo's central station in about 50 minutes. The operator says they leave every 30 minutes (2026).

The train nobody times

The airport has a railway station on the underground level of the terminal, with service every day. That much is published; the rest is not.

Neither the airport operator nor Trenitalia publishes the train's journey time, frequency or fare on a page we could reach. The airport's train page only points to trenitalia.com, and the Trenitalia addresses for the airport returned 404². Check the journey planner for your date, which is the one place the times exist.

Coaches straight to the west and south

Direct coaches from the airport reach Trapani in 1 hour 10, Marsala in 1 hour 30 and Agrigento in 2 hours 40 (2026), which means you can skip Palermo entirely on day one.

Palermo Punta Raisi Falcone e Borsellino (IATA PMO, ICAO LICJ) handled 9,220,905¹ passengers in 2025, 3.4% more than in 2024, ninth in Italy. GESAP runs it.

Catania Fontanarossa, on the east coast, is larger at 12,369,485³ passengers and grew 0.2%. Its city bus is on the Catania airport page.

A second code in the west

Western Sicily has a second airport in ENAC's commercial list: TPS, Trapani Birgi. Its 2025 traffic is not in our verified set, so we cannot say how it compares.
