Verona beyond the Arena: a tower, a castle, Juliet

Beyond the Arena, Verona's civic museums give you three more visits: the Torre dei Lamberti, 84 metres tall and open every day except December 25, the Castelvecchio museum, open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Juliet's House, which you now enter from the Teatro Nuovo in piazzetta Navona.

Juliet's House: the entrance has moved

In 2026 you enter Juliet's House from the Teatro Nuovo in piazzetta Navona, not from the courtyard on via Cappello. It opens Monday from 2 pm to 7 pm and Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm.

Tickets for the courtyard and the house are sold online only. The price isn't published on the museum's site or on the sales platform's home page, and appears only after you pick a date.

Castelvecchio, closed on Mondays

The Castelvecchio museum opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, with last entry at 5:15 pm, and it's closed on Mondays (2026). The official page doesn't publish the ticket price.

It's the one to plan first if your days in Verona include a Monday, because that's the day you can't have it.

The Torre dei Lamberti: 84 metres, with a lift

The Torre dei Lamberti is 84 metres tall, and you can climb its 289 steps or ride a transparent panoramic lift. It's open every day of the year except December 25.

The tower is the easy Monday answer, open when Castelvecchio is shut. Its ticket price isn't shown on its page either, which sends you to the ticket office.

Buy from one site only

The Comune di Verona states that verona.midaticket.it, also reachable from museiverona.com, is the only official online site for civic museum tickets. It warns that entry isn't guaranteed with tickets bought through unofficial channels.

That covers the Arena, Juliet's House, Castelvecchio, the Achille Forti modern art gallery, the archaeological museum at the Roman theatre, the fresco museum at Juliet's tomb, the natural history museum, the Lapidario Maffeiano and the Scavi Scaligeri photography centre. The same warning appears on several of their sites, so treat it as the city's position.

A day that works

Put the tower on a Monday morning, Juliet's House after 2 pm the same day, and Castelvecchio on any other day.

The city is at Verona, the amphitheatre at the Arena, and which other museums in Italy shut on Mondays at closed on Mondays.
