Vinitaly: Verona's wine fair, April 11 to 14

The 59th Vinitaly, the international wine and spirits fair organized by Veronafiere S.p.A., is scheduled in Verona for April 11 to 14, 2027, four days in its usual April slot.

Four days of trade fair, plus the city

Vinitaly is Veronafiere's salone internazionale dei vini e dei distillati, and it runs for four days, April 11 to 14 in 2027. Alongside it, Vinitaly and the City takes place in Verona's historic center, open to the public.

Whether the fair itself admits visitors outside the trade in 2027, and at what price, is not published in our sources. The public side in town is the part a traveler can count on.

79 DOCG wines, one fair

Italy has 79 wines with the DOCG designation in 2026, counted on the official MASAF list of DOP wines. The ministry does not state the total as a figure: the count comes from reading the list entry by entry.

DOCG is the top tier of Italian wine labels, and a fair of this size is the one place where many of them pour in the same building. How the tiers fit together is at wine denominations, and the regions that hold most of them at wine regions by DOCG.

No opera in April

The Arena di Verona Opera Festival is a summer season: the 104³th edition runs from June 12 to September 11, 2027. Vinitaly week has the Arena without the opera.

If you want both, you need two trips, or a June stay instead of an April one. The city itself is at Verona, and what to see between tastings at things to do in Verona.
